Rev. Unyong Kim

During this week we had a visit from Professor Kim of the Presbyterian Theological Seminary and College in Seoul. This is a large institution with extensive partnerships around the English-speaking world. It is a seminary with links into the Korean community in Sydney with some well placed ministers having been trained there. Professor Kim was himself educated in the US and has visited many theological colleges.

When we showed him the Library, he said that he was deeply impressed and had never seen a better quality and extensive range of theological texts than he did in our library. He is familiar with the Korean programmes at Princeton, San Francisco, Columbia and many other places. He kept on repeating, 'I am impressed'. He was struck by how the library has made an effort to match books on reserve with a Korean translation and the currency of many of the titles He also appreciated that students were able to use both the English and Korean texts of book simultaneously.

He was delighted when he spotted a copy of the "Hebrews" commentary in the Interpretation series, for which he had provided the Korean translation.
