Finding God Among Our Neighbors : An Interfaith Systematic Theology

Posted on 6 February 2014 Gavin Glenn

Systematic theology through an interfaith lens

For too many students, Christian theology is learned in isolation from other religious traditions. With this creative book, Kristin Johnston Largen places the work of Christian theology soundly within the work of interreligious dialogue, preparing studetns of theology for the very real task of understanding and articulating their Christian beliefs in a religiously and culturally diverse world. Largen focuses her work on three loci that anchor any theology course - God, Creation, and Humanity. Each of these loci is then set in the broader context of interreligious dialogue by considering how the varied beliefs of Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism, and Islam inform our understanding of our own tradition.
