Library Collections

Main Collection

The main collection consists of titles to support the College's undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and research.  The collection exists largely in print format.

Reference

The reference collection is located adjacent to the Circulation Desk. It contains dictionaries, encyclopaedias, atlases and a range of other resources which can provide an introduction to a subject. These books are not available for loan,

Stack

The Stack is a collection of less frequently used items. It is a Closed Access collection.  Users of the Library may request that items be retrieved from Stack.

Journals

Journals are not available for loan but may be used in the Library. Journals are shelved alphabetically by title in main library.  Many more journals are available in electronic format, and may not be available in hard copy.  Please speak to staff for access.

Audio/Visual

DVDs and Videos are not available to be borrowed but may be viewed in the library.  Music CDs are available for loan.

Reserve

Books on reading lists are placed on Reserve.

This short term loan collection is shelved beside the Circulation Desk.   Items are generally lent for three days at a time.

Korean Language

This growing collection, comprising over 2000 items, contains works in the Korean language.  The works are both translations of western titles and original works by Korean theologians.

All of the Korean resources can be searched using either an English or Korean keyboard.

 Swynny Library

A collection of books relating to the various denominations which make up the Uniting Church (Congregational, Methodist & Presbyterian). This collection is a part of the archives collection. Items within this collection are not available for loan but may be viewed in the library.
